Wrightwood is located northeast of Los Angeles, and is around seven hours' drive. Interstate 5 south is your ticket until you reach exit 199. Head east on highway 138 until you bump into a T-intersection and 138 overlaps north-south for a stretch with highway 14, north of Lancaster.

If you're looking for a pit stop along the way, Lancaster is home to MOAH (Museum of Art and History) and the BLVD, a slice of quaint shopping and dining before you head into the wilderness. Continue east on 138 once south of Lancaster until the signs and highway 2 guide you into Wrightwood.
